Smith's Restaurant

Have been going to Smith's since the 70's. Always a pleasure stopping on the way to KC. Food is good and nothing has changed. Outstanding!

Great place, service, and food, but you better be really hungry! We stopped by Smiths Restaurant for breakfast and both of us ordered the Sausage w/2 scrambled eggs, which comes with hashbrowns and choice of toast. Having a bit of a sweet tooth lately, along with hunger pains bigger than my stomach, I also ordered one pancake…. You know… we could share, right?! It was all so very delicious with very generous portions! Our server was very attentive and our coffee cups were never empty. The tasty eggs were light and fluffy, served omelet style; the flavorful sausages had a tiny kick and were cooked perfectly; and the large mound of hashbrowns was crispy on the outside but tender on the inside. All yummy! But the pancake!!!! Oh my…. THE PANCAKE!!! It was the star of the meal covering the entire dinner plate and about 1/2” thick, but light as a cloud and served with a scoop of butter and hot syrup - I didn’t even have to ask them to heat it up because every comfort food restaurant knows that a hot pancake desires hot syrup - Every bite was as delicious as the first, and we “cleaned” our plates with the help of TWO takeout boxes! A must stop especially if you’re hungry! Highly recommend!!!

Absolutely fabulous tenderloin sandwich!!!! Probably the best I've ever had! It wasn't dry & the bun was soft and fresh! We had a large group of 7 and one little (so 8 total) and all of our orders were correct!! Great service!!!!

Food was good Home cooked food not fast food!+ But it was a little over priced I feel. People nexts to us got the onion rings and fried mushrooms, they looked so good. But out of our price range, we were paying for our and our workers meals.

Very nice and welcoming staff. Food was amazing! Bacon cheese burger and chicken strips are awesome!

We always stop at Smith's on our way to Cloud 9. Always seated and waited on quickly. We are in and out in less than 40 min. The food is great and the staff is nice. I can never pass up the Blackberry cobbler, I get it to go.

Great little side of the road diner. Best tenderloin I have had in a very long time! Not a loud environment - good place to chat while you have lunch.

we had the buffet, the fried chicken was amazing, the catfish was really good too but the mashed potatoes and gravy were absolutely the star of the buffet. we had iced tea which was delicious and took blackberry and peach cobbler to go...
